Government Reform Concerning my beliefs and interpretation of what it means to be a Circuit Judge in West Virginia; it is my strongly held position that the Legislature is the only government branch who may enact laws. If elected, the only instance in which I will make a ruling beyond what is listed in our state's law codes, is one where I am required to use my best judgement to ensure the safety, fairness, and constitutional rights of our citizens are upheld. These choices are not always easy, but I believe it is crucial for courts to enforce the law on the books, not what we would prefer them to be.
