Infrastructure / Transportation I will prioritize railroad safety oversight and ensure rail companies maintain safe infrastructure throughout Alabama. Environment / Energy I will ensure pipeline safety inspections are thorough and enforcement is consistent. There are no shortcuts when public safety is at stake. Environment / Energy I will apply consistent oversight standards to gas utilities, ensuring rate requests are thoroughly reviewed and justified. Infrastructure / Transportation I will ensure transportation companies meet their insurance and safety obligations to protect Alabama consumers. Environment / Energy I will insist on cost allocation structures that protect residential ratepayers when large commercial projects require new infrastructure. I will serve as a Watchman, letting the public and local officials know about these intrusions before they are a done deal. Alabama welcomes economic development — with fair cost allocation.
