Infrastructure / Transportation Boulder County maintains an extraordinary archive of historic survey information. A key goal is to continue expanding the County Surveyor’s website to make more of these records accessible to the public, engineers, surveyors, and property owners. Improving access strengthens transparency and supports informed decision-making. Government Reform Encouraging the surveying community to contribute historic records will help build a more complete and reliable archive of Boulder County’s land history. Expanding the record benefits future survey work and ensures valuable historical information is not lost. Government Reform Work collaboratively with Boulder County and local jurisdictions to review and clarify survey requirements. Some existing regulations conflict with current statutes and bylaws, and improving consistency will help surveyors, engineers, and public agencies work more efficiently. Infrastructure / Transportation Survey monuments are the physical evidence that define property boundaries and public land survey corners. Protecting these monuments during construction and development is essential to maintaining accurate property records, preventing costly disputes, and preserving the integrity of Boulder County’s survey framework.
