Economy We must address the needs of our most vulnerable. Food, housing, and healthcare are out of the reach of so many. Investing in our ALICE population in these sectors will have generational benefits to the citizens of the entire county. Learning, productivity gains, and quality of life benefits from investing in accessibility will benefit all the citizens of Frederick County and be realized as affordability gains. Infrastructure / Transportation Smart growth means planning for housing, investing in education over a generation, and investing in sustainable infrastructure now. Environment / Energy Our Green Infrastructure and Farmland is Precious and Irreplaceable. Bio-diversity is paramount to our long term survival. Education We must invest in our future by educating our next generations with teachers who are supported at all levels. We need to retain our talented teachers, and attract new talent. I will work towards a targeted pay package with salaries that adjust with respect to affordability, and target a classroom size of 21 for our Frederick County Educators. Environment / Energy I will utilize the county’s existing infrastructure to support abundant ecosystems and develop civic engagement and participation programs.
