Education Good nutrition directly improves a student's ability to learn and helps create a level playing field. Every child deserves access to healthy meals to reach their full potential. Education Adequate funding and thoughtful implementation of the federal IDEA legislation ensures that all students get the resources they need. Education Accountability should focus on meaningful measures, not just high-stakes testing. We need assessments that truly reflect student learning and growth, helping schools improve rather than just produce test scores. Education Strong schools require proper funding to succeed. This also means fully funding all legislative mandates. A fully funded educational system benefits everyone. Education We need to ask the right questions to get to the heart of the problems facing our schools. Focusing only on symptoms often creates new issues instead of lasting solutions. Education We must listen to why teachers are leaving the profession, rather than just concentrating on strategies to replace them. Supporting and respecting teachers as professionals is essential to keeping them in our classrooms.
