The Governor is the chief executive officer of a state and is responsible for implementing state laws and overseeing the operation of the state executive branch. The Governor oversees legislative proposals and vetoes, executive budgets, and implements executive orders.
Must be at least 30 years old, a resident of the State, and a qualified elector of the State.
Filing Requirements
Filing fee is $0; signature requirement of 2% of party members in the state (major party candidates), 1% of party members in the state (minor party members), or the lesser of 1% of votes cast for office or 7,500 votes (independent candidates).
