Registered elector and resident of the district upon taking office, must be at least twenty-one years of age, and must be a resident of Florida for at least two years prior to election.

Filing fee is for partisan candidates: 6% of the annual salary for the position; Independent candidates 4% of the annual salary for the position) or; signature requirement of 1% of registered voters in the district
