Eligibility Requirements
Must have been a resident of the county for at least 12 months prior to election. Must be a qualified voter, a citizen of the state, and at least 21 years of age.
Filing Requirements
Filing fee: $82.32 (3 percent of the annual salary for the office). Petition signature requirement: For independent and minor party candidates only: 5 percent of the total number of registered voters eligible to vote in the last election for the office.
