About this position
The County Surveyor is responsible for administering the county land survey records, re-establishing and maintaining the official government survey monuments, and reviewing property boundaries surveys and subdivision plans.

Eligibility Requirements
Must be at least 25 years of age, a registered voter and citizen of the state of Georgia, a holder of a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent, and a resident of the county for at least one year prior to the election. Must not have been convicted of a felony offense or any offense involving moral turpitude.
Filing Requirements
Filing fee: $35. Petition signature requirement: For independent and minor party candidates only: 5 percent of the total number of registered voters eligible to vote in the last election for the office.
