Eligibility Requirements
Candidates for Honolulu County councilmember must be a resident and registered voter of the council district in which they are running.
Filing Requirements
Candidates must first complete an Application for a Nomination paper. Once submitted, candidates must then complete and file a nomination paper. Nomination papers must be signed by a minimum of 15 registered voters qualified to vote for the candidate. Candidates must submit a $250 fee at the time of filing.
