Eligibility Requirements
Candidates for Kauai County mayor must be a resident of the county for at least 3 years prior to the election, a qualified voter of the county, and 30 years of age.
Filing Requirements
Candidates must first complete an Application for a Nomination paper. Once submitted, candidates must then complete and file a nomination paper. Nomination papers must be signed by a minimum of 15 registered voters qualified to vote for the candidate. Candidates must submit a $500 fee at the time of filing.
