The Governor is the chief executive officer of a state and is responsible for implementing state laws and overseeing the operation of the state executive branch. The Governor oversees legislative proposals and vetoes, executive budgets, and implements executive orders.
Eligible to vote in Minnesota, have not filed for more than one office for the upcoming primary or general election, be at least 25 years old when taking office, and a resident of Minnesota for at least 1 year on election day

Filing fee is $300; signature requirement of 2,000.
