County Court Magistrate judges are responsible for adjudicating cases in civil and criminal courts at the trial-level with the authority to hold preliminary hearings in criminal cases and conduct bench trials for certain misdemeanor offenses.
Candidate must be a resident of the county two years preceding the day of election, a high school graduate or its equivalent, and completion of a course of training required by law within six months of the beginning of the term of office.

$100 filing fee; Signature requirement of 15 for independent candidates, no requirement for party affiliated candidates
