County Weed Control Board in Antelope County, Nebraska

The board shall be composed of five members, three of whom shall be from rural areas and two of whom shall be from cities, villages, or townships. County officials must be residents of the county when they accept the office but they do not need to be a resident when declaring their candidacy

Candidates must submit a partisan candidate filing form, a filing fee equal to 1% of the office's annual salary (no filing fee for a salary of less than $500 per year), and a Nebraska Accountability and Disclosure Commission C-1 form. A registered voter who was not a candidate in the primary election and who was not registered to vote with a party affiliation on or after March 1st and before the general election in the calendar year of the general election may have his or her name placed on the general election ballot for a partisan office by completing a nominating petition (which would be submitted in lieu of a partisan filing form). The signature requirement is 10% of the total number of registered voters voting for Governor or President of the United States at the immediately preceding general election in the district or political subdivision in which the officer is to be elected, not to exceed 2,000 signatures.
