The Lieutenant Governor is the second-highest ranking official of the state executive office. The Lieutenant Governor is the first successor to the Governor and the presiding officer of the State Senate, only voting to break a tie.
Candidate must be 30 years old and a resident of Nebraska for 5 years preceding the election and a US citizen.
Filing Requirements
Filing fee is 1% of annual salary of office saught; Signature requirement is 4,000, including at least 750 from each congressional district in the state.
