The Governor is the chief executive officer of a state and is responsible for implementing state laws and overseeing the operation of the state executive branch. The Governor oversees legislative proposals and vetoes, executive budgets, and implements executive orders.
Must be at least 31 years old, a registered voter for 10 years, registered for 6 months as a voter with party if affiliated with a party, not convicted of any felonies or misdemeanors involving embezzlement in the last 15 years
Filing Requirements
Filing fee is $2,000; signature requirement of 2% of registered voters eligible to vote for candidate in the election.
