About this position
The State Labor Commissioner is the administrative head of the state Department of Labor, and is responsible for the administration of state laws relating to labor and the workforce. The State Labor Commissioner ensures that all workers are treated fairly by overseeing investigation of unpaid wages, minimum wage, overtime, and disputes.

Eligibility Requirements
Must be at least 31 years old, a registered voter for 10 years, registered for 6 months as a voter with party if affiliated with a party, not convicted of any felonies or misdemeanors involving embezzlement in the last 15 years
Filing Requirements
Filing fee is $1,000; signature requirement of 2% of registered voters eligible to vote for candidate in the election.
