Parks and Recreation District Board in Cabell County, West Virginia

Must be a registered voter who resides in the district in which they are elected.

Filing Fee = $10. Independent candidates are required to obtain not less than one (1) percent of the entire vote cast at the last preceding general election for the office being sought, but which shall never be less than twenty-five (25) total signatures. A candidate seeking nomination to any office who is unable to pay the filing fee may qualify a petition with signatures from four qualified voters for each whole dollar of the filing fee. Signatures obtained on an in-lieu-of-filing-fee petition shall not be counted toward the number of voters required to sign a nomination certificate in accordance with section twenty-three of this article.
