About this position
State Representatives are members of the state's lower chamber, as part of the state's bicameral legislature. State representatives are responsible for voting on: bills related to public policy matters, levels for state spending, raises or decreases in taxes, and whether to uphold or override gubernatorial vetoes.

Eligibility Requirements
The candidate must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the district for 1 year prior to election.
Filing Requirements
Filing Fee is 0.5% of Annual Salary; If candidate is unable to pay fee, signature requirement is 4 qualified voters for each whole dollar of filing fee.
